Lionsgate has released a 1 minute red band clip for Kick-Ass this week, the clip features Nicolas Cage as the character “Big Daddy” kicking some… well.. ass. A weird thing to note in this clip is the music from 28 Days Later, an interesting choice considering all previous footage as shown a more campy approach and this score adds a real dramatic element to the scene, which is quickly diminished with Mark Strong’s closing comment. The action does have a real comic book feel to it, why it’s red band I’m not too sure.
